Alpaca Knitware from Peru
Mr. Angelo Ponce is the founder and owner of Lanart, Inc., a company specializing in baby alpaca fibre products. Lanart, Inc. was begun in California in 1979, and is currently based in Huntersville, NC. Angelo Ponce is originally from Ecuador. His knowledge of South America and the United States has enabled him to build a successful business that includes the design, production, and marketing of very attractive alpaca fibre garments and gifts. The products marketed by Lanart, Inc. are made by the Quechua people of Peru. Working with alpaca yarns, they create beautiful garments, rugs, and even an appealing line of amazingly soft stuffed bears.
