Fairground Games to Make and Play
CyberFibres discovered this fair theme book in an elementary school library. A British publication, Fairground Games to Make and Play is a charming collection of easy projects for celebrating fair time. Authors Neil and Ruth Thomson provide directions for more than a dozen games or activities including a gingerbread carousel (with edible animals), a go-fish booth, and a haunted house.
This book will not help you finish your fibre fair entries any faster; but it will remind you of the excitement of fair time, as seen through the eyes of a child. It may also inspire you to create a fibre rendition capturing the same sense of enjoyment unique to a fair. Many of the games and fair activities described would make clever quilt blocks or embroidery subjects
