Learning to Quilt the Traditional Way
CyberFibres has reached for this book many times to review a common quilting technique, as described by author, Annlee Landman, and to take a fresh look at the colorful drawings by illustrator, Penny Brown. The book begins with an introductory section on equipment, vocabulary, and basic techniques. The “Getting to Know Your Quilt” illustration on page 12 is accompanied by concise definitions for all quilt parts presented.
The main body of the book is devoted to twelve attractive quilt projects for the reader to pursue. Ms. Landman’s narration is both informative and encouraging. The final section includes templates, patterns, a metric equivalency chart, and an index.
Learning to Quilt the Traditional Way was published in hardback and paperback. CyberFibres considers it to be a vintage quilting book with a timeless shelf life.
