Experimenting with Fleece
Fleece Pullover
Using any pattern brand you like, make a fleece pullover for yourself or a loved one. CyberFibres used Butterick‚Äö 3322 view E for an eleven year-old girl. Experiment on a scrap piece of fleece fabric to find the ideal stitch length. Start with a basting stitch, gradually adjusting the stitch length shorter to the point where it will be strong enough to hold without puckering.
Designer Violin Chin-rest
Use a rectangular piece of fleece to cover a smaller rectangular piece of polyester foam. Position the fleece-covered rectangle over the plastic chin-rest and measure two lengths of 1/8 inch elastic to attach to the shape to hold it in place. Firmly stitch the elastic lengths by hand, and slip the designer chin-rest onto the violin. Happy playing
