Polar Magic: New Adventures in Fleece
This book is the third in a series by Nancy Cornwell on sewing with fleece. It provides basic information about working with fleece and is the most creative of the three books. Special features include a detailed section on current notions available for sewing with fleece and a chapter on working with border prints.
Nancy Cornwell is very specific in her endorsements of the best fleece fabrics with which to work. As every seamstress knows from personal experience, inferior fabrics are a waste of your time because they do not hold up and provide you with an enjoyable product. Ms. Cornwell writes, "The most recognized trademarked names (also the highest quality) are Polarfleece and Polartec from Malden Mills (USA), Nordic Fleece from David Textiles, Inc. (imported), Citifleece and Kinderfleece from Dyesburg Corp. (USA), Solar Fleece from Siltex Mills (Canada), and Yukon Fleece from Huntingdon Mills (Canada)."
Nancy Cornwell's earlier books on the topic, Adventures with Polarfleece(R) and More Polarfleece(R) Adventures, are well worth considering. But if you are in the market for a single book on sewing with fleece, CyberFibres recommends her most up-to-date book, PolarMagic: New Adventures in Fleece
